ONE DAY I WAS WALKING ALONG THE STRAND IN HERMOSA BEACH IN LIKE 92' WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THAT GUY NAMED MARK THEODORE from this little record store APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE...HE WAS POINTING AT ME AND JUMPING UP AND DOWN YELLING; "THERE HE IS !....Thats the real Kurt Cobain.....This guy 'invented' all the shit...those vultures up in Hollywood stole all his ideas !!!!!!!!!!!!.." ...He was cracking me up and he just kept on going with it !!...and he was just kidding ofcourse............or 'was' he??????.........People around the South Bay have always taken delight in needling and bothering each other...ya know football type stuff or whudv'ver'.........it has never really been my thing....if i do have fun bothering someone...I will put it in a song ! PLUS, ME BEING 5'6'....I CAN'T EXACTLY BEAT THE FOOTBALL JOCKS UP...AT THE PUNKER SHOWS....ANYWAY; RIPPING REASON....really is that weird ge moment where yer writing a good song and yer like.."ok ..its a good song...big deal"....TO SOME, RIPPING REASON WITH ITS JEFFERSON AIRPLANE TYPE 60'S VIBE, PUNISHING SLOPPY KIETH MOON DRUMMING, AND HARDCORE FEEDBACK WOVEN INTO THE MELODY ITSELF...IS A NICE CATCHY FAIRLY LONG GE SONG.....I remember this one really meant alot to me at the time...and I really wanted it to be a big hit idea....I guess its not..or who knows; maybe it is...........this is a strange ge song where the jury is really out ; MAYBE FOREVER ...........
