This song comes to life on 1988's "Greenhouse Effect Global Warming" album as one of the true leading songs....and that is a tall feat to accomplish indeed on an album that features nothing but state of the art garage greatness !!
Well, of all G.e. songs , this one ofcourse is a classic among all the top tracks ever recorded. A huge video on both youtube and Google Video.com, this song with it's devestating lyrics reveals a little way too much about the early life of Clark the Shark and his sufferings as it somehow rocks it's way to melodic garage rock perfection !! A sloppy ragged song both live and in the studio which can come off sorta like the bad moments of the Who yet this song still cuts in line past the packs of masses of emo geeks who are trying to rock ! This song has words that would make Nirvana seem like the happiest guys in the world as it displays a guitar and drum attack that are both fiercely first rate to go with an ambiance and state of the art surf melody with a psychedelic twist of vocals almost as if David Bowie from the late 60's came back to life ! This song is "THE" grunge song that started the movement deep in early 1987 to into 88'....and it was always played live ,..maybe near A Current Affair or Little Man. If ever you need proof that G.e. is one of the first organized 'grunge' bands ...that called it'self a grunge band - well...you'll find that proof in songs like Precarious and ofcourse this classic G.e. song !! Way before there was a Nirvana or a Pearl Jam or any of that !!
